1. Dial-Up
Dial-up modems are the slowest of the connection types.

Uses cable TV lines. Cable modem technology is comparable to low end ADSL as far as downstream speed and pricing are concerned.

5.T-1 and T3 Lines
Dedicated high-speed phone connections primarily used by large organizations. Allow large file transfers, high-traffic Web site hosting, or intranet connections. T1 lines can be bond together to get multiples of 1.5 Mbps.
